More Shapes Week

This week continued our study of shapes and colors, and we practiced in many fun ways.  Since much of our learning takes place through activities that happen at school, you may not always see papers coming home, so I will try to document some of our fun through pictures (when I remember to pull out the camera!).

We matched shapes blocks to make pictures.

We practiced buttoning with felt shapes.

We learned about graphing by sorting and placing shapes on a floor graph.

We made shapes with our bodies. The kids had to think about how many people it would take to make each shape.

Besides shapes, we also learned more about colors and mixed finger paints to find out how to make new colors.

We also made our friend "Mat Man" using shapes and discussing our different body parts.
