A Great Start!

Hello Families,

I wanted to share a few pictures of the things we have been doing to start off our year!

Here are some of the kids sorting M&M's by color after reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? during our Colors Week.

Here are some of our Middle School Book Buddies who visit us every 2 weeks to read together. We love having big kids who can walk over and read to us!

And here are a few of my morning friends after having chocolate pudding for snack one day! I just couldn't resist taking pictures of those chocolate mustaches! :-)

Fun in the Sun Day…..a little late!

Hi everyone,

I was going through my photos and came across a bunch from Fun in the Sun Day the last week of school that I never shared with you! Oops!! Guess the summer just snuck up on me!

So I will post them now for you all, and if those of you who had kiddos that are moving on to Kindergarten do not want to receive these email updates anymore, please just click the unsubscribe button.

I hope you are all enjoying your summer and I can't wait to see some of the kids again in August!

Eric Carle Week

We had so much fun reading books by Eric Carle! We found there are so many that we like, it was hard to choose which ones to read.

We started out with The Grouchy Ladybug, and played lots of ladybug matching games. We also talked about the things that make us "grouchy" and took pictures with grouchy faces! They turned out pretty cute, and everyone loves stopping by to read them in the hall.

We also had a fun "rotation day" with the other teachers. We got to do an activity in each classroom after listening to The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Making a cookie caterpillar with Mrs. McCauley

Making tissue paper butterflies with Mrs. Porter

Stringing bead "caterpillars" with Mrs. Willard, and the caterpillar headbands were made with Mrs. Hall

We also got to play a Brown Bear, Brown Bear memory game, and read the book, as well as Panda Bear, Panda Bear. Other books we listened to were A House for Hermit Crab, Do You Want to Be My Friend, and Head to Toe, while acting out the motions of each animal!
